Virtual Bump, Baby, Toddler Expo

Now more than ever it’s up to parents to seek out social support and help — but what happens, when all of our movements and contacts are restricted? When grandparents can’t come over to help out, or when neighbours don’t stop by for a cup of coffee?

The challenges of parenting can undoubtedly feel overwhelming, and even more so in a pandemic. That’s why Bump, Baby and Toddler Expo #BBTE is bringing the experts to you in the comfort of your own home at the debut, #BBTE Virtual on July 4 & 5, 2020.

With a line-up of trusted professionals leading insightful & informative discussions on what parenting looks like in our new reality, the all-day expert series helps you navigate these uncharted waters.

Now is your chance to seek expert advice – at no charge at all

From sleep consultants and prenatal educators to registered dieticians #BBTE Virtual helps you connect with experts in the world of bump, baby and toddler.

Registered Dietitian Maude Perreault helps you feel confident introducing solid foods to your baby, by sharing her two best tips. Although most babies are ready to eat solids around six months of age, follow your baby’s signs of readiness like being able to hold his head, having a good neck control, and having lost the tongue-thrust reflex. When ready, start with iron-rich foods regardless of if you are following a baby-led weaning approach or a traditional spoon-fed purées approach. Iron-rich foods include meat, eggs, fish, seafood, beans and legumes, tofu, enriched baby cereals, to name a few. Iron is an essential nutrient to support baby’s rapid growth and prevent lasting brain development complications.

For more food-related tips, tune in to Maude’s virtual talk on July 4 at 1:30 p.m.
