In recognition of Father’s Day, this Family Sunday celebrates the fathers, father figures, friends, and other loved ones who support and nurture our communities. Enjoy drop-in art workshops, outdoor tours, storytelling circles, and a bilingual theatrical performance by Dufflebag Theatre!
Art Activities and Workshops:
A Token of Love and Friendship, Drop-in Family Art Workshop
Show your appreciation for an important person in your life by crafting an artistic token of love or friendship. Artist Atkyia Raisa will lead a multimedia workshop in which participants can create a “token” offering as unique.

Spotlight On: Outdoor Tour
This outdoor tour explores landmarks on the grounds of the McMichael, including the original McMichael home, the Tom Thomson Shack, the Artists’ Cemetery, the Sculpture and Minokamik Gardens, and outdoor trails that wind through the Humber River Valley along the Heritage Trail. During the tour we will visit some of the most enchanting places on the gallery grounds to actively listen to and discuss the sounds of nature. This interactive storytelling circle explores friendships between Canadian artists, revealing how these relationships shaped their work and changed the story of Canadian art.

But he discovers it’s not so simple in DuffleBag’s adaptation of the timeless Alexandre Dumas adventure! Upon his arrival in Paris, D’Artagnan gets into trouble with Porthos, Aramis, and Athos, the very Musketeers he wants to join! When he stumbles upon Cardinal Richelieu’s secret plot to take the throne, only Constance, the Queen’s lady-in waiting, can help him save the King and stop the dastardly plot once and for all!
