Marche de Nuit Midland Night Market

Saturday, September 28, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Downtown Midland will be alive on Saturday, September 28 with the inaugural Marché de Nuit Midland Night Market. From 1 to 9 p.m., Elizabeth Street, between King and First Streets, will be the site of the new street festival.

Visitors will enjoy performers and buskers on the street and inside a big top tent where the grand finale, including fire jugglers, will take place at 8 p.m. There will be a hula hoop area and face painting for families.

The free, family-friendly event, which takes place on Culture Days weekend, will also feature a variety of artists and artisans, and Indigenous story telling.

The Midland Public Library is hosting an author reading with Elly MacKay, an award-winning author/illustrator at 2 p.m. MacKay will also be leading two free art workshops at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. where all ages and abilities can learn how she makes her illustrations come to life. Pre-registration through the library is required for the workshops.
