$45Be An Engineer!- Ages 4- 7
The Be an Engineer! program is an engineering-based program. Students explore how and why things work at a beginner level. They spend the class participating in hands-on learning activities. They will cover the following topics:
Heat
Sound
Electricity
Water Mechanics
Potential and Kinetic Energy
Forces
Structures
Light
Making Smarter Bots – Ages 8-11
This course uses the EV3 platform, which includes the use of a tablet to program the robots. They will cover the following topics:
Building and Programming with the Lego Mindstorms EV3 platform
Basic Circuit Design
Introduction to Electronics: Sensors and Motors
Programming an Arduino
Some of the class activities include making a gripper bot, colour sorter, puppy bot, robot arm, a personalized house with ceiling lights, garage door, doorbell, entry gate, ceiling fan, and more!
Program Day: Thursdays 4:30 – 6:00 PM
