TIFA Kids, a new programme at the Toronto Festival of Authors will connect young readers to their favourite authors through TIFA’s digital events. Authors include illustrator, Canadian-cartoonist and winner of the Governor General’s Award and Caldecott Honour, Jillian Tamaki with her book Our Little Kitchen; award-winning Indigenous author David A. Robertson with his book The Barren Grounds; and internationally acclaimed author/illustrator Marie-Louise Gay with her book The Three Brothers.

All three of these authors will be on a panel together on Oct 31 discussing young people’s literature in Canada and beyond including how it has changed over the years, the gaps that need to be filled and how it needs to change.
