The warm daytime temperatures have the sap flowing in Southern Ontario! The Maple Trees have been tapped at Elliott Tree Farm which means they will be making fresh Maple Syrup for Family Day Weekend! Within an hour an hour of the GTA experience this annual tradition with famous pancake breakfast at the Horse Barn Canteen, followed by a 10-15 minute sugarbush trail walk. Enjoy the sugarbush experience where you will visit a sugar shack, check sap buckets, and taste sap, maple sugar and fresh maple toffee over snow! Afterward, return to the Heritage Barn to experience the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario and learn about the unique history of maple syrup in Ontario.

8. Outdoor Adventures in Surrounding Areas

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card. The Ontario Government has designated four periods throughout the year as license-free Family Fishing, Family Day Weekend will run from February 15 to the 17th.
