About the show: Dear first-grade journal, Hooray, hooray! There’s a musical (a play all jumbled together with singing and dancing, I believe) that’s all about me, Junie B. Jones! (The B stands for Beatrice, only I do not like Beatrice. I just like B, and that’s all.) This is the bestest musical ever, I tell you! It’s got loads of funny songs, and it’s based on a bunch of books this lady, Barbara Park, wrote about me and the things I do in first grade. Love (but not the mushy kind), Junie B. This March let Junie B. Jones The Musical capture your heart just as the books captivated a generation of students. It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed. Her friend Lucille no longer wants to be her pal and Mr. Scary thinks Junie may need glasses! Throw in a new kid named Herb, a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting.
This show is general admission. There will be floor seating as well as chairs set up in the back (the Plaza Suite is wheelchair accessible). The space is small so children of all ages will be able to see no matter where they are seated.
Recommended for ages 3 to 12.
