Little Discoveries is a children’s enrichment company offering engaging, hands-on science, photography, and creative learning experiences throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Through thoughtfully designed programs, workshops, and special events, we inspire children to explore their curiosity, express their creativity, and discover the world around them.
Our programs are designed for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten students, and children in Grades 1–3, with activities tailored to each developmental stage. Whether children are mixing colourful science experiments, exploring the world through a camera lens, or participating in collaborative discovery challenges, every experience is designed to make learning exciting, meaningful, and memorable.
At Little Discoveries, we believe that children learn best when they have opportunities to explore, investigate, experiment, and make discoveries for themselves. Our approach emphasizes hands-on, inquiry-based learning that encourages curiosity, confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Rather than focusing solely on the final result, we celebrate the entire process of discovery. We encourage children to ask questions, make predictions, try new ideas, and explore different possibilities in a supportive and engaging environment.

Little Scientists | Hands-On Science Adventures
Little Scientists introduces children to the exciting world of science through interactive, age-appropriate experiments and discovery-based activities.
Each session features an engaging theme that transforms scientific concepts into memorable hands-on experiences. Children become young investigators as they explore chemical reactions, colour mixing, physics, nature, engineering, and the world around them.
Our science workshops may include:
- Colourful chemical reactions, bubbling potions, and exciting experiments
- Space exploration and astronomy-inspired activities
- Nature investigations and environmental science
- Engineering challenges and creative problem-solving
- Sensory science and early STEM exploration
- Seasonal science adventures inspired by holidays, weather, and the natural world
Our Little Scientists program is designed to introduce scientific thinking in an accessible and exciting way. Through prediction, observation, experimentation, and reflection, children begin developing important foundational STEM skills while having fun.
Activities are adapted to each age group, with younger children exploring through sensory-rich, playful experiences and older children engaging in increasingly complex investigations and challenges.
Little Shutterbugs | Creative Photography Adventures
Little Shutterbugs is our unique children’s photography enrichment program, designed to help young learners see the world through a different lens.
Using kid-friendly digital cameras provided by Little Discoveries, children explore photography through creative challenges, observation games, hands-on activities, and imaginative projects.
Our philosophy is that photography is much more than learning how to take a picture. It encourages children to slow down, notice details, appreciate their surroundings, and express their unique perspectives.
Throughout our photography programs, children explore concepts such as:
- Colours, shapes, patterns, and textures
- Light, shadows, and reflections
- Perspective and creative composition
- Nature and environmental observation
- Storytelling through photographs
- Emotions, creativity, and self-expression
Rather than emphasizing complicated technical skills, Little Shutterbugs introduces photography through playful, exploration-based learning.
Children build confidence using a camera while strengthening their observation skills, creativity, independence, and ability to communicate their ideas visually.
All photography equipment and program materials are provided.
Seasonal Programs & Workshop Series
Little Discoveries offers seasonal enrichment programs throughout the year, including winter, spring, and fall sessions.
Our seasonal programs provide children with opportunities to return each week, explore new themes, build upon previous experiences, and develop their skills through consistent participation.
Families can choose between our Little Scientists and Little Shutterbugs programs based on their child’s interests.
Each program includes a variety of age-appropriate themes, activities, and creative experiences designed to keep children excited about learning.
We also host special one-day workshops and themed discovery events throughout the year, offering families opportunities to experience Little Discoveries outside our regular seasonal programming.
Our workshops are held at select locations across the GTA, including Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto and the Schwartz/Reisman Centre in Vaughan.

After-School & School Enrichment Programs
Little Discoveries partners with schools and educational organizations to bring engaging science and photography programs directly to students.
Our enrichment programs can be offered during lunch periods, after school, or as part of special school programming.
We work with schools to develop age-appropriate experiences that complement children’s learning while introducing new opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery.

Childcare Centre & Preschool Workshops
We bring the excitement of discovery directly into childcare centres, preschools, and early learning environments throughout the GTA.
Our workshops are thoughtfully adapted for younger learners, combining hands-on exploration, sensory experiences, creative investigation, and age-appropriate scientific concepts.
Programs can be arranged as individual workshops or recurring enrichment sessions.
We work collaboratively with childcare educators and administrators to provide engaging experiences that suit their children’s developmental needs, classroom environments, and scheduling requirements.
Birthday Parties & Private Events
Celebrate your child’s special day with a Little Discoveries experience!
Our interactive science birthday parties bring exciting experiments, colourful reactions, creative activities, and hands-on discovery to private celebrations. We also offer customized programming for family gatherings, community celebrations, school events, and other special occasions.
Our private experiences are designed to keep children actively engaged through exciting activities led by our instructors. Themes and activities can be adapted according to the children’s ages, group size, and event requirements.

Little Discoveries provides programs and enrichment experiences throughout Toronto and surrounding communities, including North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, Thornhill, Markham, Richmond Hill, and other GTA areas.
Our public workshops take place at select partner venues, while school programs, childcare workshops, and private events can be arranged at eligible locations throughout our service area.
