Tutor AI is a Canadian AI tutoring platform for students in Grades 3 to 12, built to help kids with their schoolwork without simply doing the work for them.

Tutor AI was created in Brampton, Ontario, originally for four kids in the founder’s own family. Today, the platform is designed for Canadian families with students from Grade 3 through Grade 12 and is built around the Ontario curriculum, Canadian spelling and examples, as well as EQAO and OSSLT preparation.
Homework Help Across Subjects
Students can use Tutor AI for help with schoolwork across subjects and grade levels. They can type a question directly into the tutor or take a photo of a worksheet or textbook page and work through it together.
Rather than treating every question as something to solve as quickly as possible, Tutor AI encourages students to participate in the process. If they understand the first hint, they can continue on their own. If they need more support, the tutor can offer another hint or explain the method in greater detail.
Students also have access to a digital scratchpad so they can work through problems as they learn.
Learn, Practise and Prepare
Tutor AI is more than a homework chat.
Learn Mode can guide students through a topic from the beginning, helping them understand concepts before moving into practice.
Quiz Me gives students access to a practice bank of more than 12,000 questions covering Grades 3 to 12. Students can practise specific topics, subjects and units, making it useful both during the school year and for students who want to review or get familiar with material ahead of time.
Tutor AI also includes preparation tools for classroom tests, EQAO and the OSSLT.
The AI is also deliberately transparent about its own limitations. Students are reminded that AI can make mistakes and are encouraged to question its reasoning, check its work and speak with a teacher or parent when appropriate.
Homework and Study Planning
Tutor AI includes planning tools to help families keep schoolwork organized.
Students can add homework and upcoming assignments to a calendar using everyday language, such as “science project due next Friday.” They can also take a photo of a paper school agenda and use it to help populate their schedule.
For larger assignments and projects, Tutor AI can break the work into smaller steps and help create a realistic study plan.
Weekly planners use different limits depending on the student’s grade, so the system isn’t designed to keep kids studying endlessly. These are intended as reasonable ceilings rather than targets.
Built With Parents in the Loop
Parents have their own Tutor AI dashboard where they can see their children’s activity and conversations.
This visibility isn’t hidden from students. Kids know that their parents can see what they are doing within Tutor AI.
Parents can also receive a weekly Sunday summary showing what their children worked on during the week, along with access to weekly, monthly and diagnostic reports.
The platform also includes family planning tools, syllabus uploads and an Ask Parent feature for situations where a question is better handled by a grown-up than by an AI.
Designed for Canadian Families
Tutor AI was built in Canada, and student privacy was considered from the beginning.
The platform’s database, authentication and storage infrastructure are hosted in Canada. Tutor AI does not show advertising to children, and student data is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Parents can also access, export or delete the information associated with their family.
There are no public leaderboards or kid-versus-kid comparisons, and Tutor AI isn’t designed to replace a teacher, parent or a student’s own effort.
One Subscription for the Family
Tutor AI is available for $49.99 CAD per month or $449 per year, and one subscription can include up to four children.
Each child can have their own profile and age-appropriate experience while parents manage the family through one account.
Tutor AI is a progressive web app, which means families can use it through their browser and install it on compatible devices without needing to download it from an app store.
