4th Annual Hazel McCallion Walk for Health

Sunday, June 1, 2025 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
$25

Join us for the 4th Annual Hazel McCallion Walk for Health at Port Credit Memorial Park on Sunday, June 1st.

The Hazel McCallion Walk for Health is back for its fourth year, honoring the extraordinary legacy of Hazel McCallion, a champion of health care in the West GTA. This annual community fundraiser supports the construction of the largest hospital in Canada – The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility that will transform health care in our community.

Beginning and ending at Port Credit Memorial Park, participants can choose from a leisurely 2 km stroll that is perfect for families with young children or opt for the scenic 5 km route along the waterfront trail. After completing their chosen route, participants can enjoy the Family Fun Festival and live entertainment, food and many child-friendly activities to round out the day. Top fundraisers will be rewarded with great prizes.

Registration and event details can be found at trilliumwalk.ca.

Last year, the event brought together 2,000 community members and health care workers to raise $650,000 for Trillium Health Partners. This year’s goal is to raise even more to help ensure that every member of our community has access to the best care when they need it most.

When the 22 storey Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital is built, it will be almost triple the size of the current hospital and will be approximately 2.8 million square feet. The vastly expanded hospital will provide a new, best-in-class facility with over 950 beds, more surgical capacity and one of the largest emergency departments in Ontario to care for our growing community. In addition, 100% of patient rooms will be private. The new hospital will also include advanced diagnostic imaging facilities and a new pharmacy and clinical laboratory.

Be part of something bigger than a walk. Your participation and donations help make Trillium Health Partners’ vision of a world-class hospital a reality, bringing hope and improved health care to our growing community.

Register today and help us continue Hazel McCallion’s legacy of care. Together, we can build a healthier future for all.
