On Monday, April 8, 2024, a rare total solar eclipse will cast its shadow over parts of Ontario when the moon completely covers the sun. Niagara is within the path of totality making St. Catharines one the best places in Canada to experience this wonder.
Join us for an afternoon filled with science, wonder and discovery. Educational exhibits led by Brock researchers, educators and experts will explore the wonders of the cosmos. Gather with us to witness the rare astronomical phenomenon of a total solar eclipse.
In Ontario, the eclipse is expected to start at around 2:04 p.m. and continue until about 4:30 p.m. In St. Catharines, the sun will be fully eclipsed for approximately three minutes from 3:18 p.m. to 3:21 p.m.
