There’s a mystery this Fall at Buzzing Bees Adventure Farm and you’re going to need your code breaking skills to solve it. At the crime scene, a scarecrow has been unceremoniously unstuffed. The other scarecrows have hidden in the corn maze, and are not talking. Your group needs to search through the maze and find all eight scarecrows. Each scarecrow will have a puzzle or code that needs to be solved in order to reveal their clue. With all eight clues, your group will use a “Guess Who” board to find the culprit. If the correct culprit is revealed, there is a token prize for the group (while supplies last).
The corn maze is known to be challenging, taking approximately 45 minute to find your way out. Solving the in maze “Guess Who Escape” Game will take around 90 minutes. There are emergency exits throughout the maze in case you get truly lost. The design and the in-maze game change each year with 2023’s theme being a mashup of the Guess Who board game and Escape room style puzzles. In addition, the farm has several activities including pedal karts, pedal tractors, pumpkin bowling, elastic band shooting range, rope maze, sand box, slides, toddler play area, hay climb, tilting table, and more. Tours are provided of their new 1375 sq/ft Geodesic Dome greenhouse. The Dome is a unique structure that provides all season growing without the use of external heat. The tour of the dome showcases how this is accomplished using solar, geothermal, heatsinks and architecture.
Buzzing Bees Adventure Farm is located at 1070 Concession Rd 5, in Sunderland, Ontario. The farm is open Fridays Noon till 5:00, and Saturdays and Sundays 10:00am till 6:00pm from September 15th to October 29th. (Last entry one hour before close.) Guided tours of the dome will be available at 11:00am and 2:00pm and are included in the admission fee. Tickets can be purchased onsite and cost $8 per person with children under 2 included with a ticket purchase.
