Now in its fourth year, Hangar Skate transforms YZD Plaza into an enchanted winter forest of light, music, and motion. Events like this give people a chance to experience YZD today—turning the site into a place to gather, play, and connect, while offering a first look at how it will grow into a welcoming community for everyone.
Enjoy free outdoor skating on a 6,000 sq. ft. refrigerated rink, savour local eats and light bites, and take in DJs and drop-in arts programming inside the YZD Experience Centre.
Free admission, $5 skate rentals and sharpening (free rentals for kids under 12), and the coziest winter vibe in Toronto.
Holiday Skating (December 20, 2025 – January 4, 2026)
Celebrate the holidays with daily skating at YZD Plaza (12 PM – 5 PM, closed Dec 25). The plaza glows with festive lights, cheerful music, and winter magic for all ages.
Enjoy free skating, affordable rentals, and daily drop-in arts programming led by North York Arts inside the YZD Experience Centre. Warm up with hot drinks, local bites, and the city’s most spirited holiday gathering.
*Hangar Skate is closed on December 25.
