With the Toronto Blue Jays’ home opener on the horizon, it is the prefect time to dive into the rich history of Toronto baseball, the nature connections of the game, and, of course, the avian Blue Jays themselves! Join us for a hike through High Park where sports history meets nature. We will learn about trees that are used to make bats, what elms have to do with a spit ball, and how Blue Jays make it in the birding big leagues.
Note: Pre-registration is required for all our events, hikes and workshops. We do this to ensure we don’t exceed our capacity for indoor events or the maximum limits for group sizes on High Park’s ecologically sensitive trails. Please register on our website before coming to High Park.
