Migratory Bird Day – Intro to Birding Family Tour

Saturday, May 9, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on May 9th at your Toronto Zoo with an introduction to the hobby of birdwatching! Tour with guides around the Zoo to find and learn about common bird residents as well as equipment and resources that will help you on your birdwatching journey. Experience some hands-on biofacts and learn about citizen science as we discuss this year’s theme: Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter!

Proceeds from the tour will go to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ North American Songbirds SAFE program, which supports local songbird conservation initiatives. We’ll provide the binoculars and field guides, so you just need to bring your curiosity!

Please note: Cost of program does not include parking fee or price of admission to the Zoo (sold separately). No member discount is applicable for this program.
