March Break at the ROM

Explore the brand new exhibition T. rex: The Ultimate Predator and join family-friendly activities all week long

Looking for a fun and educational experience for the whole family during March Break? Look no further than the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), where you can explore special exhibitions, collections, and enjoy some special family-friendly activities throughout the week.

From Saturday, March 11 to Sunday, March 19, 2023, the ROM will be open daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the museum’s rich history and culture.

In addition to the museum’s permanent collection, visitors can explore a range of special exhibitions, plus, each day, from 11 am to 4 pm, the museum will host a variety of hands-on, interactive activities that are perfect for families.

With so much to see and do, we recommend you book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Discover the museum and make some fun memories this March Break with:

T. rex: The Ultimate Predator

Feast on this spectacular exhibition from the American Museum of Natural History, presented by Desjardins Group. Featuring more than 40 models and casts, and a special section with actual fieldwork from a recent ROM-led tyrannosaur dig, fans of this celebrity dinosaur can also experience up-close and imposing real fossil T. rex skull of almost five feet long.

Hands-on activity tables: Select Galleries (Levels 1, 2, 3) – Touch, feel, and explore the various ways that plants, animals, and people experience spring, from international celebrations to seasonal cycles, with stimulating hands-on activity tables spread throughout ROM.


ROM Curators: Ask me Anything: Select Galleries (Levels 1, 2, 3) Weekdays only (March 13-17), from 2-4 pm, Have direct access to ROM experts from our curatorial staff, and engage in thought-provoking information about an animal, cultural tradition, and object from our collections.


Spring Trails (Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery)Discover six fun-filled activity stations throughout the museum with our Spring Trail Guide, available for pick up at the info booth in Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery.


Hike the ROM: Follow a Hike the ROM trail and add to your daily steps without worrying about the weather. Two-themed trails offer visitors exercise for both the body and mind. Pick up your free trail guides at either entrance, and head off on a fun-filled step adventure.
