But who says they can’t have a bit of fun? EXPLORUM now offers schools the unique opportunity to book their virtual year-end festival to finish the year off with a bang!
Book a fun hands-on Science or DIY’Arts workshop that your students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, they can do from the comfort and safety of their kitchen! They could concoct a chemical reaction, build a boat, explore the human body, create a bowl, design a piece of art and much more!

Choice of Workshops:
Kindergarten
- Agamograph – A piece of art that changes based on how we look at it
- Collage Art – Creation of a piece of art using a collage technique
- Art Fizz – Chemical reaction yielding an artistic result
- Maracas – Construction of maracas with different sounds
- Thaumatrope – Making of an antique toy based on optical illusions
Grades 1-3
- Absorption & diffusion – An artistic experiment to illustrate and understand absorption and diffusion
- Agamograph – A piece of art that changes based on how we look at it
- My amazing maze – Creating our own maze to have a marble race
- Paper Balls – Preparing decorative paper balls
- Thaumatrope – Making of an antique toy based on optical illusions
- Volcanic eruption – « Construction » of a volcano and using a chemical reaction to simulate its eruption
- Wind chime – Our own wind chime made with simple materials
Grades 4-6
- 3D Boxes – Confection of a box using paper
- Agamograph – A piece of art that changes based on how we look at it
- Articulated hand – Construction of a hand capable of carrying a paper ball
- Construction challenge – STEAM building challenge using certain parameters
- Paper Balls – Preparing decorative paper balls
- Slime and Bouncy ball – Concocting a slime ball and a bouncy ball using chemistry
- String bowl – Creation of a bowl or a plate using strings
Workshops last about an hour each. EXPLORUM can accommodate 11-19 students at a time! Younger children will probably need their parent’s help and input for some steps!
