Science Rendezvous Festival Returns to Ontario Tech and Durham College, with Fun STEM Exploration for Families!
Science Rendezvous, the acclaimed STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) festival, is set to captivate the Durham area on May 11, 2024. This one-day family event, hosted by leading research institutions across Canada, including Ontario Tech and Durham College, promises an immersive experience of interactive demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and tours, all completely free of charge.
Transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of discovery, Science Rendezvous invites attendees to explore the wonders of science, technology, and innovation. From liquid nitrogen ice cream to making it rain in the ACE wind tunnels, a brilliant solar telescope, virtual reality experiences, a variety of robots, candy bombs and much more, the festival promises something for everyone. Don’t forget to visit the “Grow Your Own Flower” booth to plant a seed in honour of Mother’s day!
Science Rendezvous takes science out of the lab and into the community, offering a unique opportunity for engagement with Canada’s scientific community and the next generation of innovators.
“Science Rendezvous is more than just a festival; it’s an invitation to explore, discover, and be inspired by the marvels of STEM,” said Kathleen Miller, Executive Director of Science Rendezvous. “We’re thrilled to bring together leading researchers, educators, and the public for a day of hands-on learning and excitement.”
