The Haunted Mansion (2023)

Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” features an all-star cast, and tells the story of a woman (Rosario Dawson) and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters. Rated PG.

Kiki’s Delivery Service

The story of a young witch, named Kiki who ready to take on the world with her trusty wisp of a talking cat named Jiji by her side. This beautifully animated movie by Studio Ghibli is a must see and one of our favourites.

Halloweentown

A Halloween staple. On her 13th birthday, Marnie learns she’s a witch, discovers a secret portal, and is transported to Halloweentown – a magical place where ghosts and ghouls, witches and werewolves live apart from the human world.

Harry Potter

While not technically a Halloween movie, we can’t help but include this magical world of wizards and creatures at this time of year. We can’t really pick a favourite movie in this series, although we may be a little partial to the first with young Harry, Hermine and Ron. Rated PG-13.

The Addams Family

The original movie. Con artists plan to fleece the eccentric family using an accomplice who claims to be their long lost Uncle Fester. Rated PG-13.

Muppets Haunted Mansion

The Munsters

A classic Halloween comedy and possibly  the strangest love story ever told. Lily is just your typical 150-year-old, lovelorn vampire looking for the man of her nightmares…that is until she lays eyes on Herman, a seven-foot-tall, green experiment with a heart of gold. It’s love at first shock as these two ghouls fall fangs over feet in this crazy Transylvanian romance. Rated PG.
