See the world through a bee’s eyes in this immersive exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum. Blending art, science, music, and architecture, BEES: A Story of Survival explores 120 million years of bee adaptation, their vital role in the natural world, and the growing threats they face.
Visitors can step inside a stylized honeycomb, discover the fascinating anatomy of a bee, see an ancient bee preserved in amber, and experience sound and light installations inspired by more than 30,000 bees. The exhibition also features local specimens from ROM’s collections and offers a closer look at honey bee colonies, pollination, and the many ways bees support healthy ecosystems.
Created by National Museums Liverpool in partnership with award-winning artist Wolfgang Buttress, this engaging, sensory experience invites families to learn more about these small but mighty creatures—and what we can do to help protect them.
