Canada Day at Mackenzie House

Monday, July 1, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Visit the Mackenzie House printshop and choose from the image collection to create a postcard that represents Canada Day to you! Postcards are printed on the historic printing press.

Currently the historic house is undergoing renovation and is unfurnished. The house and gallery feature an exhibit by artist Sabrine S. Hakam. “We are our words” is an exhibit that harnesses the history of Mackenzie House in order to explore how our words are spread through ever-evolving media. Beginning with the printing press, the exhibit will explore how each media revolution has resulted in a profound reset in the ways we relate our message to the world.
