Whitby Canada Day

Come Celebrate your Canadian pride with the Town of Whitby on July 1!

This year, join us for an unforgettable evening of fireworks and a hub of food trucks.

Re-imagining our event, due to ongoing harbour remediation, our 2025 event focuses on what attendees love most – An incredible fireworks show! And this year will be the largest in Durham Region!

What to expect:

  • Pre-fireworks – come early with your family and friends to secure that perfect viewing spot. Don’t forget to bring:
  • A picnic, or enjoy a variety of food trucks on-site or visit local restaurants.
  • A “Grab and Go” Hub of Food trucks will gather at the Victoria Street Parking Lot between 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Games, blankets, and chairs to relax and celebrate your Canadian pride.
  • Fireworks will begin at dusk (approx. 10 p.m.) – sit back and enjoy Durham’s largest fireworks display!
