Downtown Barrie is the place to be to ring in the New Year! Since 1998, the Downtown Countdown has brought thousands together from near and far to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
This free evening of fun is one of Central Ontario’s largest New Year’s Eve celebrations. The festivities include family activities, skating and two fireworks shows, all set under the twinkling lights of the arch at City Hall. The highlight of the night is a lineup of amazing live entertainment featuring a special performance for kids, up-and-coming local talent and a headline act.
