French Family Moments: Maria Chapdelaine
French-speaking art lovers and families are invited to join us for Francophone programming that will explore the themes and scenes in Clarence Gagnon’s illustrations created for the 1933 edition of Maria Chapdelaine, the famed romance novel by Louis Hémon. This special programming offers French speakers a rare opportunity to delve into this delicate collection of 54 artworks, which are infrequently displayed due to conservation concerns.
