Family Day Weekend at the ROM

Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Monday, February 19, 2024
Family Day at the ROM

The ROM is set to host an unforgettable Family Day Weekend experience. Highlighting the weekend is the return of Zuul – guests can experience the majesty of ROM’s world-famous ankylosaur – just back from a triumphant tour to Japan. For just a few weeks, visitors can once again come face to face with “The Destroyer of Shins” — a gnarly horned armoured dinosaur with a sledgehammer-like tail. Alongside Zuul, families can explore engaging workshops, diverse exhibitions, and exciting activities. From chemistry experiments to hands-on biodiversity displays, ROM offers something for all ages to enjoy. Young visitors can dive into the BASF Kids’ Lab: Playful Polymers for slime-making sessions, fostering a love for STEM exploration. ROM’s youngest visitors will also enjoy WonderWorks— where play meets learning — a permanent Museum space that invites children to experiment and connect in an interactive and fun environment.

With daily programming from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, ROM promises to be the perfect destination for Family Day, plus admission for all visitors will be completely FREE on Family Day (Monday, February 19), including full access to all regularly surcharged special exhibitions. ROM’s Family Day Weekend runs Saturday, February 17 to Monday, February 19.

Here’s what else is happening at ROM Family Day weekend, February 17 – 19, 2024:

Zuul
Star of ROM’s blockbuster 2018 exhibition, Zuul crurivastator—the gnarly-faced, armoured dinosaur with a sledgehammer-like tail—is back after a tour of Japan. Zuul is one of the most complete ankylosaur skeletons ever found and is on display in its full form for the first time!
