Turn your passion for games into real skills, real projects, and a portfolio you can be proud of.
ForgeWorks is a hands-on, industry-led game development program for students in Grades 7–12. Students don’t just learn about games—they learn how games are actually made.
Over the course of the program, students explore the complete game-development process, including:
🎮 Game Design — mechanics, gameplay, levels and player experience
💻 C# & Unity — learn the fundamentals of professional game development
🎨 2D & 3D Creation — create and integrate art and game assets
🤖 AI-Assisted Development — learn how modern AI tools can support the creative process
🛠️ Professional Workflows — version control, organization, development practices and problem-solving
🚀 Real Projects — apply what you learn by building games rather than simply completing exercises
More than coding
Game development brings together creative thinking, technology, problem-solving and collaboration. Students learn to take an idea from an initial concept through design, development, testing and completion.
The goal is simple:
From players → to creators.
Why ForgeWorks?
ForgeWorks is backed by Convolution, an independent game development studio established in 2008. The program brings an industry perspective into the classroom, giving students exposure to the tools, concepts and workflows used to create real interactive projects.
