December 29th
- Guided Snowshoe 10am – Experience the magic of winter at the Wye Marsh on a guided snowshoe adventure with one of our Outdoor Educators.
December 30th
- Scavenger Hunt (All day): Embark on a fun and interactive wildlife scavenger hunt at the Wye Marsh. Using a clue sheet, participants will navigate their way through the trails looking for flora and fauna.
- Kids Art Contest (All day): Calling any and all young artists! Whether you are an art enthusiast or just enjoy being creative, this Kids Art Contest will allow your imagination to run wild. Participants will be provided with art supplies.
December 31st
- Guided Snowshoe 10am: Experience the magic of winter at the Wye Marsh on a guided snowshoe adventure with one of our Outdoor Educators. Search for animal tracks, listen to bird calls, and just enjoy being present.
- Craft 1pm – 4pm: Looking for a fun winter activity that can spark creativity? Join us at the Wye Marsh for an afternoon of winter-themed projects that encourage both creativity and learning. Materials provided.
January 1st
- Animal Tracking & Artifacts 10am- 11am: Discover secrets that wildlife can leave behind at the Wye Marsh. Head inside the visitor’s center to view and interpret preserved artifacts through hands-on learning and gain knowledgeable skills that help identify tracks, scats, and other clues left behind.
- Smores & Fire 1pm – 3pm: Join us around the fire for a s’mores-making experience! Roast marshmallows, and unwind together by the fire.
January 2nd
- Guided Snowshoe: Experience the magic of winter at the Wye Marsh on a guided snowshoe adventure with one of our Outdoor Educators.
- Turtle Demo: Join us for an interactive turtle demonstration featuring our very own live turtle ambassadors here at the Wye Marsh. A great educational session for all ages!
