Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend and the beauty of the fall harvest at the Hometown Harvest Festival at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons!
Families can enjoy a full day of seasonal activities, live music, friendly farm animals, heritage demonstrations, games and hands-on fun throughout the historic site. Make a traditional dipped candle to take home, roast bannock over the fire, sample Three Sisters soup and warm teas, play outdoor games and take part in a family scavenger hunt.
Meet Sainte-Marie’s heritage cows, pigs and chickens, along with special animal visitors including miniature horses, goats and Bennett the miniature donkey. Optional hands-on barn tours are also available for an additional fee.
Each day features live music in the courtyard, while Saturday and Sunday include beginner-friendly line dancing sessions. Families can also browse a market featuring handmade goods from local artisans.
Make a full Thanksgiving outing of it by adding a traditional turkey dinner at Restaurant Sainte-Marie. Advance reservations for Thanksgiving meals are highly recommended.
