From Monday, March 10th to Friday, March 14th, 2025, young explorers and their families are invited to embark on a thrilling adventure through history. Take part in a full day of indoor and outdoor activities, with programs running daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Step into a time machine and travel back to the fascinating world of the 17th century. Now in its third year, this March Break program at Sainte-Marie promises excitement, discovery, and unforgettable memories!
Activities include:
- Craft Traditional Tools and Artifacts: Create their own corn husk dolls, traditional games, clay pots, and other traditional crafts, just like the early settlers and Indigenous peoples.
- Learn Historical Skills: Learn about historical fire-starting try on 17th century clothing, and use traditional cooking methods to gain a deeper appreciation for the ingenuity of the past.
- Join Interactive Storytelling: Listen to captivating tales of bravery, adventure, and exploration from expert storytellers, bringing history to life in a way that textbooks can’t.
- Explore the Historic Site: Take tours of the village, exploring the longhouses, chapel, and workshops, and discovering the rich history that shaped the region.
Tickets are $12 with tax included, and children five and under can join for free. No reservations required!
