Printing Newspapers at Mackenzie House!

Mackenzie House celebrates the achievements of Mary Ann Shadd Cary, the first Black woman to edit and publish a newspaper in North America.

Visitors are invited to typeset their names and print a personalized copy of Mary Ann’s newspaper, the Provincial Freeman! (Note: the historic house is currently undergoing restoration and may not be open. The printshop and gallery will be open.)
