Join Rooks to Cooks for a fun and hands-on Sushi Workshop where you’ll learn the basics of making your own cucumber maki rolls!
The session will begin with a short demonstration on Japanese sushi rice where we show you how it’s prepared and what makes it the perfect base for sushi! Using pre-made sushi rice, participants will then roll up their sleeves and create their own maki rolls from start to finish. You’ll practice simple knife skills by cutting your own cucumber, learn how to roll sushi using traditional techniques, and slice your finished rolls to enjoy! Take home: Participants will take home 2-3 Cucumber Maki Rolls, Soy sauce provided (optional). Register Online to secure your spot!!
Best of all, this event supports a great cause. All proceeds from the workshop will be donated to the Bluffs Food Bank. Come learn a new skill, have fun, and help support the community!
