There’s a new 3-week Try Speed Skating program offered at Ford Performance Centre on Kipling/Lakeshore and Commander Rink in the east end this fall. If your child loves skating but is not drawn to hockey, or is excited by short-track races in the Olympics, this program is a perfect way to try out an incredible sport. It’s offered for ages 7-13 and costs $100 over 3 Sunday afternoons with dedicated coaching to learn the basics; spots are limited but still available
