Label it – label bins and boxes so children can easily see where everything goes.
Chore jar – Write down chores on small pieces of paper and store them in a special container. Let kids pick a paper from the jar and complete the chore in a given time. Set a good example by participating yourself.
Picture perfect – Take photos of your little one’s clean playroom or bedroom and attach them to the walls so children can check the picture to see how the clean room should look. Make a Before and After game by letting them take a picture before the big clean-up then compare it to the final result!
Let them decide – Give kids some control of their spaces. Letting them decide how to organise their things will encourage to keep it that way.
Divide and conquer – For large messes delegating can work wonders. Give a small task to each child and work along side them with your own chore.
