Music and skating – two favourite Toronto winter pastimes – will come together every Friday this February, as the Downtown Yonge BIA presents Skates & Sounds, featuring free music and family fun at College Park, including a special Family Fun Day on Family Day Weekend.
Each Friday, a different DJ will fill the air with music along various themes, including Disco, 80s vs. 90s, and Global Music. DJ Starting from Scratch will kick things off this Friday, Feb. 3, spinning classic disco tracks. Skating will be open on the Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail, with free skate rentals (subject to availability).
Skates & Sounds will take place each Friday in February from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition to the ice and the music, the events will feature fire pits, games and other activities. Visitors are also invited to take a survey, which will enter them into a draw to win tickets to Little Canada and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the CAA Mirvish Theatre.
