Got a winning recipe for apple pie? Here’s your chance to prove it! On Saturday November 12, from 1-3pm, the Trinity Bellwoods BIA is holding their annual Apple Pie Contest to raise money for a local charity!
After a postponing the past two years due to COVID, the Trinity Bellwoods BIA is finally hosting its annual Do Pie event, an Apple Pie contest to raise money for St Stephen’s Community House.
On Saturday November 12th, everyone is invited to bake an Apple Pie for the contest. The top three winners will be eligible to win special prizes from businesses in the area. If you are not a baker but enjoy a good slice of Apple Pie, join us from 1-3 pm at Cabano’s Comfort Food patio where we will be serving up pie at $5 a slice.
Pie baking expert, Jennifer Emilson (@thelemonapron) who just released her Lemon Apron Cookbook, an authentic celebration of the joy of home cooking, will be judging our pies on appearance, crust, filling and overall taste.
The Apple Pie contest is open to anyone who wants to bake home cooks and professionals alike. There is a participation fee of $10 for the pie contest, which will be donated. Competition rules and registration are available online at EVENTBRITE or in person at COMRAGS, 812 Dundas Street West.
All proceeds will be donated to St. Stephen’s Community House, a unique, community-based social service agency that has been serving the needs of Kensington Market and other neighbourhoods in Toronto since 1962.
