Unlike the standard tours, this excursion doesnāt venture into the Gorge or tackle the Class V Rapids. Instead, it journeys to the mouth of Lake Ontario, where guests will learn about the significant historical and cultural events along the Niagara River over the past 300 years of its geological transformation. Key learning topics include the War of 1812 and the Underground Railroad.
With its relaxed pace, the 45-to-60-minute tour is ideal for various demographics, including the elderly, individuals with limitations preventing them from partaking in the standard tour and those seeking a more educational experience. The Historical Freedom Tour is also a good starting point for those who are unsure about participating in a standard tour.

All Historical Freedom Tours require a minimum of 15 guests to book and must be made through the Whirlpool Jet Boat Toursā Group Sales Department. The tour departs from both the Canadian dock in Niagara Falls and the American dock in Lewiston.
