Peep Peep! Everyone’s favourite storybook engine, Thomas the Tank Engine™ is chugging his way into the GTA at York-Durham Heritage Railway.
Enjoy a day of family fun while Thomas visits the Uxbridge Train Station located at 19 Railway Street. Don’t miss one of the hottest things to do this summer! Thomas is only here for two weekends, August 9, 10, 11 and 16, 17, 18, 2019.
Thomas fans and their families will have a unique opportunity to climb aboard a heritage train pulled by a life-size working replica of Thomas the Tank Engine for a 25-minute train ride. Each child will receive a junior engineer certificate after the train ride as a souvenir. Be sure to get your photo with Thomas while he’s waiting at the station.
Off the platform, meet and snap your photo with Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway. Visit the Imagination Station for face painting, colouring activities, mega blocks and temporary tattoos of your child’s favourite engine.
Enjoy Thomas storytelling and videos on-board the rules car. Children can re-create their favourite Thomas stories at the train tables located in our doors-open baggage car.
Check out our interactive live entertainment stage featuring musicians, a juggler on stilts and magician. There are lots of other activities on-site including kiddie train rides, hay maze, jumping castle, Zoo to You, obstacle course, Thomas replica ride-on trains and more.
There are a variety of food vendors on-site and restaurants within a 5-minute walking distance from the station. Your ticket provides in and out privileges.
Thomas the Tank Engine departs and returns to the Uxbridge Station so that your family can enjoy everything this event has to offer. Trains depart at 9:00, 9:45, 10:30, 11:15, 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3:00 and 3:45. It is recommended that guests arrive at the event at least one hour before their scheduled departure.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are required for guests ages two and up. Children under the age of two not occupying a seat don’t require a ticket but can ride the train and participate in all activities. Tickets to this event sell out quickly so be sure to book ahead.
