Cartas del Abuelo: A Poetic Journey Through Memory, Loneliness, and Family Love
Cartas del Abuelo is a one-person show by Factor Teatro, created and performed by Freddy Alfaro DomÃnguez. The work explores the abandonment and loneliness experienced by older adults, told through the story of Don Miguel, an elderly man navigating the memories that shaped his life—his love as a husband, his pride as a father, and his tenderness as a grandfather. As his memory fades, he tries to preserve these moments in letters, his only refuge.
Through delicate puppetry and symbolic objects, the performance creates an emotional connection with the audience, honouring elders as the living roots of our history.
