Come to the City Hall Forecourt on September 4th to attend the Fourth Annual “Ability First” Accessibility Fair. An informational and interactive event that aims to highlight the ability in disability and provide something for everyone.
Visit our exhibitor tables and learn about products and services; get your mobility device cleaned at our “Chair Wash” Station; try our new dexterity loss and vision loss simulators; try your hand at operating a mobility device from Motion and board an HSR or DARTS bus; learn about new programs and technologies available to persons with disabilities; attend a service dog demonstration from K9 Lifelines; get small repairs at the Motion “Garage” and much more.
Event begins at 11:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Opening address provided by Mayor Andrea Horwath at 12:00 pm.
At 2:00 pm, come for the Accessibility Awards presented by Councillor Mark Tadeson and celebrate our newest Accessibility Trailblazers
