From late July through early September, orchards across Southern Ontario open their gates for pick-your-own peach season, giving families the chance to spend a day outdoors while stocking up on one of summer’s sweetest treats. Whether you’re planning a day trip to Niagara, Elgin County or beyond, these peach farms offer fresh fruit, farm markets and plenty of family-friendly fun. Be sure to check each farm’s website or social media before visiting, as picking dates and availability depend on the weather and harvest conditions.
Peach season in Ontario is typically late July through early September, although exact dates vary each year depending on the weather and the variety being harvested. Many orchards open and close picking on short notice, so it’s always worth checking their website before heading out.
Note: Check your location before heading out as some farms have reported being picked out until the next varieties ripen.

Located in the Niagara Peninsula, Cherry Avenue Farms has over 126 acres of orchards with more than 18,000 trees and vines with dozens of different fruits to pick. Starting in mid-August, prime peach season begins, and peaches will be in full swing until mid-September!
