Chan Hon Goh’s Canadian Masterclass Series, presented by RBC, is an unforgettable opportunity for aspiring dancers all over the country to dance with some of this generation’s celebrated artists. Providing added opportunities for industry access, feedback and knowledge, during this year’s series, students will be taught by an array of special guest artists, curated by Prima Ballerina, Chan Hon Goh C.M., D.Litt.
We are pleased to announce that Roberto Campanella, former Principal Dancer of Compagnia Italiana di Danza Contemporanea and Soloist of the National Ballet of Canada, will be teaching the masterclasses in Toronto.
Mr. Campanella brings with him a wealth of experience as a dancer, choreographer and instructor. His guidance promises to provide a rare and exceptional learning opportunity for all participants.
The Canadian Masterclass Series is also a wonderful opportunity for students to audition to study at Goh Ballet Academy, and be eligible to receive a scholarship to further their dance training. Participants are eligible for select scholarship awards, totaling $10,000 throughout the entire tour. All participants will be considered and winners are chosen based on technique and artistic potential. (Conditions apply)
All participants and parents are invited to join Mr. Campanella for a special ‘Meet the Artist’ Q&A as a part of the Masterclass. Students will have the chance to submit questions for Mr. Campanella to answer on the day, ahead of the sessions.
Eligibility
Students with at least three years of ballet training ages 10 to 19 years with minimum Grade 4 RAD or equivalent are welcome to join the Masterclasses.
Two sessions will take place, please be sure to sign up for the appropriate session based on your skill & age level.
PIQUE (Junior Level) 10:00AM – 11:15AM EDT – Ages 10 – 13 & completed RAD Grade 4 to Intermediate or equivalent
‘Meet the Artist’ Q&A 11:15AM -11:45AM EDT – Open to all attendees, including parents and guardians. Please submit questions for Mr. Campanella, ahead of the sessions
JETE (Senior Level) 11:45AM – 1:00PM EDT – Ages 14 – 19 & completed RAD Intermediate to Solo Seal or equivalent
