There’s a whole afternoon of holiday magic waiting for families in East Gwillimbury! The annual Santa Claus Parade, Holiday Market and Tree Lighting celebration returns on Sunday, November 15, 2026, with festive entertainment, family activities and plenty of Christmas cheer.
The fun begins at 3 pm with the Santa Claus Parade, featuring colourful holiday floats, marching bands and cheerful participants from local businesses and community groups. Gather along the parade route to welcome the guest of honour, Santa Claus himself!
Families are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa for collection by Canada Post volunteers, along with non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys to support the community’s holiday food and toy drive.
After the parade, head to the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex for even more festive fun! Browse the Holiday Market featuring local artisans and vendors, enjoy live music, take part in a free family skate and visit Santa for photos from 4:15 to 5 pm. The afternoon wraps up with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 pm.
The parade begins at Mount Albert Road and Leslie Street, in front of the EG Civic Centre, and finishes at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex at 1914B Mount Albert Road.
