This Family Day Weekend, Spadina Museum will offer a free drop-in crafting space for families and intergenerational groups to create collages using their own family photos, along with cutouts from magazines, fabric scraps and other basic art materials supplied by the museum. Staff and volunteers will be onsite to support visitors in their artmaking process, with inspiring examples and step-by-step instructions.
Get inspired by the exhibition of collages created by youth participants in our Youth Artist Mentorship program. Bring reproductions of family photos to include in your collage if you wish.Not attending with kids? Solo adults are also encouraged to create a collage, with special art materials, next-level inspirational examples and instructions.
Free tours of the historic mansion are also available at 11:15, 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 3:00 p.m. The house can only be visited as part of one of these tours. First come, first served.
