Medics Camp has a program designed just for teens called FALCON. This one week first aid leadership camp is for youth ages 13-17. If your teen is interested in learning first aid, enjoys the field of medical science and wants to take their leadership skills to the next level they will love the opportunity to embark on a journey like no other.
The first aid component of FALCON will cover all of the topics found in a traditional Red Cross standard first aid and CPR course.
The leadership component of the camp will have teens learning about themselves, and their leadership styles. They will work in small groups and a larger group to build communication skills, engage in team building activities, problem solve and role play mock first aid simulations to build their first aid skills, confidence and self-esteem.
The week will present challenges and the FALCON First Aid Leadership program is designed to teach youth to be prepared to handle not just medical emergencies but every day challenges they will face in life making them better leaders at home, at school and in their communities.
FALCON is a great fit for teens who may be enrolled in their high school SHSM program, members of HOSA or who think they may be interested in pursuing a healthcare career but maybe aren’t sure what’s out there. We will be introducing teens to different healthcare careers some of which they may not even have known existed.
