Downtown Guelph will sparkle with holiday magic as the annual Guelph Santa Claus Parade returns on Saturday, December 5, 2026! This favourite nighttime tradition brings families together for a festive evening filled with colourful floats, twinkling lights, holiday music and plenty of Christmas cheer.
Watch as the streets of historic downtown Guelph come alive with creative holiday displays, marching bands, lively performers and cheerful participants from local businesses and community organizations. The excitement builds throughout the parade, with the grand finale featuring Santa Claus himself!
The fun begins even before the parade with the Santa Run at 4:55 pm! Watch as hundreds of runners dressed in Santa suits make their way along a 3 km route through downtown, raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.
The parade is also part of Guelph’s Spirit of the Season festival, featuring indoor and outdoor Christmas markets, festive entertainment, beautiful holiday decorations and a storefront decorating contest. Families can browse unique gifts, enjoy the seasonal atmosphere and make an evening of exploring downtown.
The Santa Claus Parade begins at 5:30 pm, travelling through historic downtown Guelph.
