Hangar Skate returns in 2026 with music, art, and outdoor fun every Friday through Sunday from January 9 to February 16.
Glide under the lights, sip something warm, enjoy local eats, and explore the creative happenings inside the YZD Experience Centre — a reimagined airport Hangar turned community hub.
Weekly Highlights:
Fridays (5 PM – 9 PM): DJ Skate Nights with Local DJs and Snakes & Lattes
Saturdays & Sundays (12 PM – 5 PM): Free Learn-to-Skate programs and rotating arts workshops (Vibe Arts on Saturdays, Big River Bindery on Sundays)
Special Dates:
Jan 25 – Enchanted Forest (12 PM – 5 PM): Where light, nature, and imagination come to life at the YZD Plaza.
Feb 14 – Fire & Ice (12 PM – 5 PM): A day where sparks meet frost at the YZD Plaza.
Feb 16 – Family Day (12 PM – 5 PM): DJ set and arts activities to close the season.
Always free to skate, with $5 rentals and sharpening (free rentals for kids under 12) and a welcoming atmosphere that makes Winter at YZD something to look forward to.
