The holiday season is coming to Waterloo Region! The annual Kitchener-Waterloo Santa Claus Parade returns on Saturday, November 21, 2026, bringing a festive morning of colourful floats, marching bands, cheerful performers and plenty of Christmas magic for the whole family.
Organized by the Lions Club of Kitchener, this beloved community tradition features nearly 100 parade entries, including creative holiday displays from local businesses, schools and community organizations. Watch as the streets fill with festive music, colourful characters and holiday excitement, leading up to the grand arrival of Santa Claus himself!
The fun begins before the parade with the Santa Pur-suit Run, as hundreds of participants dressed in Santa suits make their way along the parade route. It’s a wonderful sight and a festive way to kick off the morning!
Families are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa for collection by Canada Post volunteers. You can also help spread holiday cheer by donating non-perishable food items to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, toys for the Knights of Columbus Toy Drive, or new mittens, hats and warm clothing for Sanguen Health Centre.
The parade begins at 10 am, travelling along Weber Street from Frederick Street in Kitchener to Erb Street in Waterloo. The Santa Run gets underway just before the parade, at approximately 9:40 am.
Bundle up, arrive early to find a great viewing spot and enjoy one of Waterloo Region’s favourite Christmas traditions!
Admission is free.
