Bringing a bright spark of joy and illuminating a winter’s dark night with colour, this annual event kicks-off the holiday season at the Celebration Square with the official lighting of the Christmas tree for the first time this season, and opening of the ice rink.
The magic doesn’t stop there. Celebration Square will be home to a dazzling marque art installation for the holiday season.

Event details:
- 7:00 pm – Lighting of the Christmas Tree and holiday lights
- Official opening of the city’s largest outdoor skating rink, with a DJ Skate Party. Skate rentals are available on-site
- Snap a photo with Santa Claus
- Vibrant illuminated photo stations and LED Swings
- Dazzling marquee light installation and projection mapping installation
- Exciting live concert, featuring kids entertainment and live musical acts
- Paintbox Kids Zone featuring a giant interactive digital graffiti wall, face painting, and colouring station
- Food trucks serving up sweet and savoury curbside cuisine
