Downtown Whitby is getting ready to welcome Santa Claus! The annual Whitby Santa Claus Parade returns on Saturday, December 5, 2026, bringing a festive morning of colourful floats, holiday music and Christmas cheer for the whole family.
This year’s theme, “A True North Christmas,” celebrates the holiday season with a distinctly Canadian twist! Families can look forward to creative themed floats, cheerful characters and festive displays as more than 50 local businesses, schools and community organizations make their way through downtown Whitby.
A favourite holiday tradition for more than 50 years, the parade brings generations of families together to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. Watch for the mischievous Grinch along the route, with the biggest excitement saved for the grand arrival of Santa Claus himself!
Families are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa, along with non-perishable food donations to help support those in need during the holiday season.
The parade begins at 10 am at Brock Street North and Manning Road, travelling south along Brock Street and finishing at Brock Street South and Trent Street.
Bundle up, bring some warm drinks and arrive early to find a great viewing spot for this wonderful Whitby holiday tradition!
Admission is free.
