There is something for everyone at the 180th Markham Fair! Celebrate with art, live entertainment, kids activities, midway, animals farm fresh produce, delicious treats and country cooking! The urban and rural worlds meet at the Markham Fair on October 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2024.
“It’s the best of both worlds,” said Scott Redshaw, 2024 Markham Fair President. “Markham has the features of the city at its doorstep and 180 years of agricultural heritage behind its Fair.”
This year, the Markham Fair features a variety of performers, from a meet and greet with Bluey’s Bluey and her sister, Bingo, to the renowned Freestyle MX Big Air Insanity and Monster Truck Crush show to the fabulous President’s Choice SuperDogs. They also have a terrific Teen Talent Show, Best Scarecrow, and Best Dressed Pet competitions, as well as a Monster Midway for fun.
Plus, don’t miss the High-Octane Tractor Pulls, a Demo Derby, Livestock shows, and the biggest Pumpkins and Squashes you’ll ever see!

Rides and Entertainment
The Midway offers rides and games for all to enjoy. Thrill-seekers can get some good old-fashioned adrenalin on the 20+ rides, including classics like the Ferris Wheel and Merry-Go-Round.
The Entertainment Tent features contests for the kids, like the Children’s Pet Show on Friday afternoon, Teen Talent on Friday night, and the Baby Contest on Saturday morning, including family-friendly shows to entertain the little ones daily. There is great family entertainment to be seen around the grounds at this year’s Markham Fair. There is free face painting by the ever-so-talented Picasso on Saturday and Sunday afternoons!
Make time for Friday, as the SuperDogs will show their skill and ability at the Friday Night Show (4 pm, 6 pm, and 8 pm). Remember that the SuperDogs will have daily shows on Horse Drive.
Multiple stages across the fairgrounds will have live music throughout the day, but the main music event each night takes place on the Crow’s Corral stage.

Attractions
All ages will be in awe of the Largest Outdoor Monster Truck Madness with Freestyle Motocross FMX. There will be cars crunched, bikes doing tricks you don’t want to try at home, and pure excitement that will only be on Thursday and Sunday! Cruising around the Markham Fair with strollers on the paved and dirt roads has memories in the making, but why not take a ride on a monster truck ride truck or a pony? Look to the skies in the evening for eye-catching fireworks – get a seat in the grandstands to take in the bright lights, and don’t miss the Truck and Tractor Pull or Demolition Derby. In the daylight hours, catch the incredible routines of the RCMP Musical Ride.
The ever-popular Bluey will have Bluey and her sister, Bingo, attend the Fair on Sunday, October 6th, to meet and greet fans.
Food, Food, Food!
A wide variety of treats and snacks are on offer throughout the grounds. In addition, our community group food buildings and food trucks are returning to the Markham Fair this year. Enjoy a variety of fare from food vendors, as well as beer and wine in the wine and beer tents.
Agriculture
Have your children come face to face with farm animals at Old MacDonald’s Barn, whether a Clydesdale Horse or a goat with horns or no horns. Your children can experience farm life with a vintage tractor display! Be sure to hang around to see a sheep being sheared or a cow being milked! And be prepared to be amazed by the Heavy Horse Pull or 6 Horse Hitch entertaining young and old with grace and precision.
At The Agri-Food Tent, meet local farm-to-table chefs, learn about the trends in Canadian urban agriculture, and try your hand at farming.
Daily Finale
Don’t miss the finale: every night at dusk, Pyro Mario illuminates the sky for a spectacular fireworks show above the track.
